Our Proposals
Miller Homes is proposing to develop land in Rainford. The site is situated in the south-east area of the village, east of Rookery Lane, and is currently allocated for residential development in the draft St Helens Local Plan . Our plans will:
- Provide 337 new high-quality and sustainable homes, in a variety of styles and sizes
- Provide 30% of the total number of homes as affordable, in line with the requirements of the St Helens Local Plan
- Invest around £30.5 million into the local economy
- Build a sustainable community with homes for generations to come
- Create 156 new jobs during the build timeframe, directly through construction and indirectly in the wider economy
- Include generous landscaping provisions and protection of the existing green space at Dial House Wood and the Rainford Linear Path
- Make off-site Section 106 contributions to St Helen’s Council towards infrastructure and community facilities
Our plans will be consulted on between Monday 23 May and Monday 06 June 2022.
